Procyon lotor, Raccoon
The raccoons are common throughout North America, from Canada to Panama.
Two of the raccoon's most distinctive features are its extremely dexterous front paws and its facial mask. Raccoons are also noted for their intelligence.
As a result of excapes and deliberate introductions the raccoon can now be found in several European and Asian countries.
